Getting a house filled with 30 years worth of someone else's stuff ready to move in to is hard work. We've broken up fitted wardrobes, ripped up carpets, filled three skips (three!), spent hours picking staples and random nails out of floorboards, and two whole days (I kid you not) clearing and then cleaning the kitchen... and we're still not even at the point where we can start thinking about re-plumbing, sorting out the electrics, the windows, the garden, the decor... thank goodness the days are long and we have time on our hands!
I've got some pretty cool photos to show you of where we were and where we are now, and we've had some great ideas about how we might do the place up now we can see what we've got a bit more clearly.
But I've just done 12 hours of clearing and scrubbing and lifting and shifting, so I'm going to make you wait in blissful anticipation because if I don't eat something more substantial than tea and ham sandwiches made with crap ham and crap bread, I honestly might keel over.
